Navigating Pathology Training Program Applications

This webinar, planned especially for veterinary students, interns, and veterinarians interested in applying for a pathology residency position, will be presented by a panel of current training coordinators and residents. The webinar will briefly discuss anatomic, clinical, and comparative pathology programs and identify questions potential applicants can ask to identify a program suited to them. The webinar will address a number of pre-selected topics, with some time at the end for questions from the audience.

  • Prepare effective application strategies by hearing directly from current coordinators and residents.

Exploring Veterinary Pathology: Career Paths & Student Engagement Opportunities

The panel presentation included anatomic pathologists and one dual-boarded anatomic and clinical pathologist representing various career stages and diverse career backgrounds. Panelists provided an overview of their careers and answered questions from students about career paths, student engagement opportunities, and what ACVP has to offer students. The majority of the webinar was held in a Q&A format, allowing attendees to post questions for panelist response. The moderator, Dr. Janice Harvey, facilitated the discussion. Prior to the Q&A portion, Dr. Michael Cruz Penn presented a brief introduction to the Student Engagement Committee.
