Description of Externship
Anatomic Pathology Externship at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine is a two-week immersive experience designed to introduce prospective residency applicants to our training program. Externs work closely with faculty, residents, and staff while participating in daily resident activities, including biopsy, gross, and journal club rounds; tissue trimming; biopsy and necropsy case reviews; case discussions; and specialty rounds. Participants gain hands-on exposure to a diverse diagnostic caseload, opportunities to assist with biopsy report development, and insight into the collaborative learning environment that defines our residency program. This externship provides an authentic perspective on resident life at OSU and the training experience offered by our program.
