Honorary Member Award
Honorary Membership
Honorary membership is awarded to a non-member who has contributed in an extraordinary manner to the advancement of veterinary pathology. Honorary members are selected by a majority vote of the Board of Directors, and confirmed by a majority vote of the College membership. Honorary members have all privileges of membership except the right to vote or hold office, and are exempt from membership dues payment.
Nomination Process
Nominations are due by March 1.
Nominations must be submitted by an Active or Emeritus ACVP member. The nomination must include:
- Letter of Nomination. The letter should clearly specify the nominee’s contributions and/or achievements.
- Letters of Recommendation. Two to four additional letters of recommendation from Active or Emeritus members to substantiate the exceptional contributions and leadership qualities of the nominee.
- Curriculum Vitae (of the nominee).
To avoid disappointment in the event that a nominee is not selected, please do not relay nomination details to the nominee. Candidates may be re-nominated annually with complete nominations submitted for each year of nomination.
